Ek Dham Yatra : Gangotri
Description
The Gangotri Yatra is a soul-stirring pilgrimage that leads you to one of the most sacred shrines in the Himalayas—Gangotri, revered as the divine source of the holy River Ganga. Blessed with towering snow peaks, tranquil surroundings, and an aura of purity, Gangotri forms an integral part of the Char Dham circuit in Uttarakhand and holds deep spiritual significance for devotees.
Unveiling the Sacred Aura of Gangotri
Situated in the Uttarkashi district at an elevation of 3,100 meters, Gangotri is believed to be the very place where Goddess Ganga first descended to Earth, answering King Bhagirath’s centuries-long penance. The revered Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Maa Ganga, welcomes pilgrims from across India who come seeking blessings, inner peace, and spiritual upliftment.
The journey to Gangotri is as mesmerizing as the destination. Crystal-clear waters of the Bhagirathi River, lush valleys, cascading waterfalls, and majestic Himalayan views create a divine harmony of nature and spirituality. Every step of the yatra feels like a serene retreat, offering both devotion and breathtaking beauty.
