But there are some equally stunning bird-watching destinations on the tour, such as Mukteshwar and Sattal, where you can spot birds on the route. Itineraries

Day 1 : Rishikesh - Corbett National Park

Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from Rishikesh and we will drive to Corbett National Park. You can view the fascinating wildlife on the way and spot some interesting birds or animals. After you arrive in Corbett National Park, you can check-in at your jungle resort/ hotel/ camp. For the rest of the day, you can explore the surroundings and soak in the wilderness that is everywhere. The lush green environs of Corbett National Park will invite you at every moment and you will feel an irresistible urge to explore the wilderness here. But wait for another day and you will satisfy this urge also. You will have dinner at night and have an overnight stay in Corbett.

Day 2 : Corbett National Park bird-watching tour

Today we will have an elephant safari in Corbett National Park. You can have a good vantage point on the elephant’s back and have good views of the terrain and birds. You can spot birds like eagles, vultures, babblers, shama birds, and many others. In the evening you will return to your hotel and rest here overnight.

Day 3 : Corbett National Park elephant safari

Day 4 : Corbett National Park to Pangot

After breakfast and check-out from Corbett National Park, you will drive to Nainital. Pangot is a great bird-watching place near Nainital and the Pangot. This village is famous for its bird sightings and dense forests. When you arrive in Pangot you can check-in at the jungle lodge/ cottage and later explore the nearby forests and take a nature walk in the lush green environs of Pangot.

Day 5 : Pangot Bird Sanctuary birding tour

Today you will have an entire day in which you will go for a bird-watching tour of Pangot Kilbury Bird Sanctuary. The dense forests in Pangot are famous for birds and you can spot Himalayan Griffon Vulture, Lammergeier, Brown Wood Owls, Khalij pheasant, Rufous-bellied Woodpecker, Himalayan Bulbul, and others. The thick woods in Pangot have almost 150 species of birds.

Day 6 : Pangot bird watching

You will wake up to the sweet sunrise and songs of birds in Pangot. Today you will have another day of bird watching in Pangot. You can visit places like Pangot village, Gughu Khan, and Baggar and the nature walks are excellent to spot birds. You can spot hawk eagles, woodpeckers, crested serpent eagles, and tick off many other birds you spot here. Overnight stay in Pangot after dinner.

Day 7 - Pangot - Sattal and Birding in Sattal

Today you will check-out from Pangot and drive to Sattal. The route goes through dense forests of the Cheena Peak Range and passes through Snow View Point and Kilbury. You can make halts to spot birds on the route and admire the scenic views. When you arrive in Sattal you can check-in at the resort/ hotel in Sattal and do some birding here. Later you will have overnight rest in the forest lodge/ hotel/ resort.

Day 8 : Sattal to Mukteshwar

Today you will have a morning drive to Mukteshwar from Sattal after check-out. You will find many spots on the way where you do bird watching. You will check into the forest lodge/ resort in Mukteshwar and go bird-watching in the nearby forests. You can explore the forests and the deep woods are teeming with wildlife and birdlife. Later you will return to your resort in Mukteshwar and rest here for the night.

Day 9 : Mukteshwar to Binsar

After you check-out from Mukteshwar you will drive to Binsar. This small hill station in Uttarakhand is another top bird-watching destination. Binsar Bird Sanctuary is a very scenic location from where you can have clear views of Kedarnath, Nanda Devi, Trishul, Panchchuli, and Chaukhamba ranges. You can explore the woods to spot birds and Himalayan wildlife species that exist here. You will have dinner and an overnight stay in Binsar.

Day 10 : Bird watching in Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary

Today you will have a whole day for bird watching in Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. The deep woods in Binsar are the ideal habitat for Himalayan wildlife to flourish. You can spot nuthatches, tits, forktails, woodpeckers, monal pheasants, laughing thrush, parakeets besides many other birds and animals. If you are lucky you can also spot Himalayan goral, musk deer, leopard, red giant flying squirrel, red fox, and other mammals. After you have done this bird-watching tour in Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary you will rest overnight in your hotel.

Day 11 : Binsar to Rajaji National Park

After you have checked out from Binsar you will drive to Rajaji National Park, which is very close to Haridwar. You can check-in at the hotel/ lodge/ resort in Rajaji National Park and rest here for the night.

Day 12 : Rajaji National Park bird-watching tour

Today you will go on a bird-watching tour of Rajaji National Park. You can have a nature walk in Rajaji National Park in the morning. After breakfast, you can spot birds like woodpeckers, hornbills, ducks, and pochards. After lunch, you can go for a bird safari in Rajaji National Park and you can visit Vindhyavasini Temple, from where you can have panoramic views of Rajaji National Park. After a full day of bird watching you will have overnight rest in the hotel.

Day 13 : Assan Barrage bird watching

In the morning we will go to Assan Barrage and do some bird watching. Assan Barrage is near Dehradun and many migratory birds and Himalayan bird species can be found here. The Assan Reservoir is an ideal spot for bird-watching. You will find ducks, cormorants, egrets, kingfishers, eagles, coot, osprey, and many other birds. Due to its incredible birdlife, Assan Barrage was named as the first Ramsar wetland site in Uttarakhand. Later you will return to Rajaji National Park and in the evening go for a bird-watching safari tour. You will stay for the night in Rajaji National Park.

Day 14 : Rajaji National Park bird watching

Today you will do a full day of bird watching in Rajaji National Park. Later have an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 15 : Departure from Rajaji + Arrival in Rishikesh

Today is the last day of this Uttarakhand Bird Watching Tour. After breakfast, you will check-out from Rajaji National Park and proceed to Rishikesh. We will drop you off at Airport/ Railway Station and you can take the scheduled flight/ train and reach your hometown.
