From Chandanwari, you will begin your 13 km trek to Sheshnag, an experience filled with natural beauty and spiritual charm. The trail leads you through the dramatic ascent of Pissu Ghati, offering panoramic views of rugged mountains and deep valleys. As you walk along the path, every turn reveals a new sight more captivating than the last.

Eventually, you will arrive at the mesmerizing Sheshnag Lake, surrounded by snow-clad peaks and shimmering with shades of turquoise. Though the winds may be brisk at this altitude, the breathtaking landscape makes every moment unforgettable.

As evening descends, settle into your comfortable tent accommodation, where you will spend the night under a sky full of stars, enveloped by the tranquility of the mountains.

Begin your day with an invigorating trek from Sheshnag to Panchtarni, covering approximately 12 km. This stretch of the journey takes you across the majestic Mahagunas Pass, one of the highest points of the Amarnath Yatra. As you ascend, the surroundings open up to sweeping mountain vistas, crisp winds, and a sense of pure Himalayan serenity. After crossing the pass, the trail gradually descends into the expansive valley of Panchtarni, beautifully framed by towering peaks.

From Panchtarni, continue your spiritual journey with a short 6 km trek to the sacred Amarnath Cave. The atmosphere becomes increasingly divine as you get closer to this holy site. Upon reaching, take a refreshing dip in the icy waters of the Amarnath stream, believed to cleanse the mind and soul.

After offering your prayers and soaking in the divine energy of the cave, begin your descent toward Baltal, a scenic downhill trek of about four hours. Upon reaching Baltal, settle into your campsite for the night and enjoy the serene ambiance of the mountains under the open sky.

After breakfast, depart from Baltal and enjoy a scenic drive back to Srinagar. Along the way, you may choose to visit the tranquil Manasbal Lake, known for its crystal-clear waters, or seek blessings at the revered Kheer Bhawani Temple—both optional stops available at an additional cost. If you prefer a direct journey, you can head straight to Srinagar without any detours.
