Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra

After an early morning Satvik breakfast, start your sacred trek to the holy shrine of Mata Rani Vaishno Devi on foot or by pony (horse). The Bhawan of Mata Rani is located at a height of 5200 ft at a distance of about 13 km from Katra Base Camp. Your journey to the holy shrine on foot will take around 5 to 6 hours. On the other hand, a pony ride will take around 2 to 3 hours. If you want to reach the Bhawan by trekking, you should commence your sacred journey in the early morning. The sacred journey to the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi will take you through several holy places/stops, such as Banganga, Charan Paduka, Himkoti, and Adhkuwari. After reaching the Bhawan of Mata Vaishno Devi, follow the queue and be attentive to the announcement of your slip number. Make darshan of the holy shrine, offer prayers, collect prasad, and come out. Return to Katra. Freshen up and relax at the hotel. Soon after, have your dinner and stay overnight.

Mata Vaishno Devi is a revered Hindu goddess and is considered to be a combined incarnation of Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati. Millions of devotees undertake the challenging 13-kilometer trek from Katra to the holy shrine of Mata Rani Vaishno Devi to seek her blessings.
