Itineraries
Day 1 : Arrival in Amritsar
Upon arrival at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport or Amritsar Railway Station, a representative from Pilgrim Packages India will receive you with a warm welcome and transfer you to your pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and prepare for your first visit to the Golden Temple. It is the most significant shrine in Sikhism and it is called “Sri Harmandir Sahib or Sri Darbar Sahib”. The Harmandir Sahib is surrounded by Amrit Sarovar. The water is considered to have spiritual healing properties.
In the afternoon, visit Jallianwala Bagh, which is one of the must-visit places in Amritsar. It is located just 1 km from Golden Temple. Jallianwala Bagh is the unfortunate place where thousands of people were killed by British troops. It is preserved in the memory of those who killed people. The bullet marks are still visible on the walls of the site. You can also see the ‘martyrs’ well’ in the park. Explore the martyr’s gallery and museum.
Attend the evening prayers at the Golden Temple. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
